The development
On 23 September 2026, Google announced additional AI Brief beta languages and a forthcoming unified view of the Search ad journey. The announcement does not establish universal availability. Google Ads • 23 September 2026
One9Six / Working notes
Before expanding automated search
Treat account availability, language support and destination controls as separate checks. An announced feature is not proof that it is enabled in your account. Keep a dated settings record so a performance change can be traced to a specific configuration.
| Focus | Record | Practical check |
|---|---|---|
| Query quality | Review intent by market and language | Separate brand, destination, accommodation and irrelevant intent |
| Destination control | Document URL expansion and exclusions | Inspect actual landing pages and their rate, language and booking path |
| Value feedback | Use an agreed conversion action and value basis | Review realised value and cancellations alongside platform ROAS |
Apply this to your next project
- Change one material variable per test when feasible.
- Check Greek support for each feature rather than assuming support across the product.
- Set an agreed spend limit and review date before activation.
One9Six perspective
The strategic value is better direction and inspection of automated campaigns. Marketing teams should prepare stronger business briefs and agree what they need to see in reporting. For a hotel, that includes the offer, stay period, intended guest and page that can fulfil the promise. It does not justify increasing spend before measurement and access are checked.
The next decision
Ask the account team which capabilities are enabled, who owns the approved brief and what experiment would justify adoption. Record unavailable features as a watch item. Use the existing controls to run a bounded test rather than waiting for every announced feature to arrive.
